Students had to create a futuristic desk that they could sell to the York Region District School Board in the 22nd century. They had to sell, create, brainstorm, advertise and modify this desk to meet the needs of students and teachers. Students were able to work cooperatively in groups to increase their social skills.

My expectations around your reading log are as follows:

c) try to read a variety of different genres to open your interests
d) enjoy

I never read a science fiction or fantasy book until I was in grade 8. My teacher forced the class to read a different genre. Although I didn't enjoy being forced to read a book, he opened my eyes to new worlds of imagination and I appreciate him for that.

Your reading log is not a chore and should not take more than 1 minute each night.
